At 51North, the Digital Producer is the one who holds it all together. You’re the bridge between client ambition and internal execution, making sure strategy, design, content, development, and motion all move in sync.

Let’s be honest: this role might be one of the hardest to explain… and to do.

You’ll juggle changing priorities, high expectations, tight budgets, and creative ideas that don’t always play by the rules. Sounds impossible? Sometimes it is: but that’s exactly why we need you.

You’ll manage projects from kickoff to delivery, keep stakeholders aligned, make sure timelines are met, and protect your team’s focus, all while maintaining a calm, clear overview. (And ideally, a sense of humor.)

Job description

You’re an excellent communicator, problem-solver, and planner, but above all: you get digital. You know how websites and apps are built, and how to steer a team through the chaos of creative and technical work. You have: 

• Experience managing digital projects (websites, apps, campaigns, etc.)

• A good understanding of the full production process: strategy, UX, design, development, content creation and management

• Strong organizational skills, you’re structured, practical, and solution-oriented

• The ability to keep your cool when plans shift or pressure rises

• Confidence in working directly with clients, from kick-off to delivery

• Solid written and verbal communication skills (Dutch & English)

• A proactive mindset: you ask, plan, follow up, and don’t wait to be told

Nice to have:

• Experience with tools like Notion, Jira, Trello, Teamwork, or Simplicate

• The ability to explain technical things without sounding like a robot

• Experience working in an agency or multi-project environment

• Some understanding of agile workflows or sprint-based planning

• The ability to say “no” in a way that still makes people like you

• A love for communication, clear timelines, smart scope, and happy teams

Your role:

• Guide projects from start to finish — from kick-off and briefings to go-live

• Create timelines, monitor budgets, and manage scope

• Communicate clearly with clients and translate their needs into actionable tasks

• Keep the team focused and aligned, even when plans shift

• Spot risks early and steer toward practical solutions

• Make sure everyone knows what to do, when, and why

• Approach every project with the mindset of creating value for both the client and 51North

This role is based in our office in Sittard (NL), and we ask that you're able to join us on-site at least two days a week.
To work well with the team and our clients, you’ll also need to speak Dutch or already be actively learning it.
